Day in the Life Of...Jasmine Osemwegie

At the Recovery College facilitators play a huge part in shaping courses, providing feedback and bringing their lived experience to inform the College's policies and approaches. Today we are chatting with Jas Osemwegie.

1) What is your job role and what subjects do you cover?

Facilitator. I cover a wide range of subjects across the college! I am usually the one that's like the first to help and cover, as I enjoy facilitating all courses and I am up to the challenge. Over the last term, you have most likely seen me in the Recover Togethers, Learn to Lift, Tai Chi online, and many more.

2) Name something you love about working at the Recovery College.

I love the community aspect of the college. I guess I could say connectedness. The connections i have made both with my colleagues and with students have honestly changed my life. The environment and the support shared within the college are exceptional. I can boast amongst friends about how much I love coming to my job, as I don't just see it as a role, I see it as a chance to help make someone's life a little better than yesterdays.

3) What's next?

I am excited about our bases opening up and the chance to have more face to face courses to see more of our current students and new students' faces!

Many thanks for your time Jas
