    Shrove Tuesday

Image shows a bright salmon pink tablecloth with a gold rimmed plate on the far right. Several crisp edged pancakes are stacked neatly on top with two slices of lemon. Stylised white text cuts through the middle of the image reading: Shrove Tuesday. The Recovery College logo is in the bottom left.

Shrove Tuesday otherwise known as Pancake Tuesday, is the day before Ash Wednesday (the first day of Lent), observed in many Christian countries.

Traditionally pancakes were made before Lent (with 40 days of fasting) as they were an excellent way to use up rich foods such as eggs, milk, and sugar.

So go and raid the cupboard! What are you waiting for! Happy flipping!
